laboratory sometimes investigates pre-industrial solutions issued
from research projects or provides technical support for
industrial products developed within Mitsubishi Electric.

its 10-year Anniversary, Mitsubishi Electric ITE-TCL, the
Telecommunications Research Laboratory in Rennes made a
demonstration of the FTTH GE-PON manufactured by its parent
company in Japan. A
specific press release was published.
Mitsubishi Electric is the world
leader of FTTh systems based on GE-PON standard, compliant with
IEEE 802.3ah.
Mitsubishi Electric ITE-TCL is
supporting development of FTTH(Fiber To The Home) solutions in
Europe. FTTH networks aim at providing very high bit rate to the
whole population by deploying optical fibre up to the customer
premise (company, dwelling house, apartment).
Mitsubishi Electric is strongly
involved in European lobbying actions for the deployment of very
high bit rate infrastructures by being active members of some
organisations like the FTTH
Council Europe and CREDO.
